I'm Mahdi, a PhD candidate in mitochondrial biology. My research looks at how cells maintain quality control inside their mitochondria, and what happens when that breaks down — particularly in cancer.

Outside the lab, I like trying new things and figuring out what I actually enjoy — new places, new food, new ideas. I write about science, travel, and food here, and occasionally whatever else catches my interest.
